Northwest Medical Group Welcomes New Family Nurse Practitioner to Wheatfield

Northwest Health welcomes family nurse practitioner Mallory Hanewich, FNP-BC, to Northwest Medical Group. Hanewich joined the Northwest Medical Group - Primary Care office located at 3988 W. State Road 10, in Wheatfield.
Hanewich received her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in nursing from Purdue University Northwest in Hammond. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in Valparaiso.
Before joining the primary care office in Wheatfield, Hanewich worked in nursing positions at Northwest Health - Porter, where she began her career as a nursing assistant before serving as a surgical nurse, float pool nurse, nursing house supervisor and patient placement coordinator.
As a family nurse practitioner at the Wheatfield primary care office, Hanewich strives to understand and address patients’ unique needs, as well as the needs of entire families. Her practice includes areas of family medicine such as annual physicals, well-child checkups, geriatric medicine, vaccines, patient education, medication management, chronic disease management, wellness and lifestyle modification, and school and sports physicals.
