Rehabilitation Services
Northwest Health - Starke's rehabilitation programs are designed to help you return to the life you love as quickly and safely as possible by regaining your independence and improving your life. We offer both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for adults and pediatric patients, as well as a specialized therapy pool and car transfer simulator to get you back on your feet sooner.
Rehabilitation services include:
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech, language and swallowing therapy
- Orthopedic rehabilitation
- Upper extremity rehabilitation for patients with a shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist or hand injury
- Vestibular rehab for vertigo and related disorders
Wellness Services
Northwest Health - Starke offers a full gym with easy-to-use exercise equipment for those who want to work out in a comfortable, caring environment. The gym is open 24 hours a day and massage therapy appointments are available. For membership information, please call (219) 326-2048.
Personal Health Coaching
Northwest Health - Starke Wellness Outreach offers a goal-oriented approach to health coaching, empowering an individual to identify and make positive changes benefiting their physical, emotional and mental health and well-being.
Certified Intrinsic Coaches® provide support and encouragement every step of the way helping an individual connect with their strengths, overcome barriers and make lasting changes.
The health coaching program helps improve and empower each individual with:
- Personalized one-on-one meetings
- Realistic goal setting
- Positive reinforcement and support throughout the duration of the program

Diabetes Education Program
Nationally recognized and certified by the American Diabetes Association, the team includes a certified diabetes nurse educator and a registered dietitian, who work closely with your personal physician and you on issues such as medication and insulin education, insulin pump training, gestational diabetes care and creative meal planning.
