Northwest Health Adds New Physician in Valparaiso Area

Sean Dardeau, Market CEO for Northwest Health, has announced the addition of Ramla Khan, MD, a family medicine physician, to Northwest Medical Group.
Dr. Khan joins Dr. Michael Mirochna at the Northwest Medical Group – Primary Care office located at 336 West US Highway 30, Valparaiso. Northwest Medical Group is a multi-specialty physician group with locations throughout Northwest Indiana.

She comes to the area after completing a Family Medicine Residency at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago. During her residency she co-authored two research articles about the management of diabetes care. Some of her other areas of interest include preventive medicine, geriatric medicine, women’s health, obesity medicine, and preoperative optimization.
In describing her philosophy of care Dr. Khan remarked, "I remember as a young child witnessing the care a family physician provided to my grandmother as she struggled with Alzheimer’s disease.
